We love the Autumn at Fig1. Perhaps it’s because we love colour so much, or perhaps because we’re a bunch of homebirds who like nothing more than cosy evenings in front of the fire – whatever it is, the first touch of cold crisp air – the kind of air which makes your breath visible for all – brings a shiver of excitement. This week I’ve been talking to Luke about his favourite finds for the season ahead which are perfect for bringing brightness and comfort into your home for the colder months.
We begin with this beautiful House Doctor Ananda cushion cover in cream and navy. As described by Luke, this cushion cover is perfect for home working and looks great in any room – giving off a true 1920s feel with the scallop shell design. For Luke, the reason behind buying this was simple – upon seeing it in a Danish show room, he fell in love with the design and the mixture of cotton and velvet, a difference in textures with just the perfect comfort level.
Luke’s second choice is a more modern design. Made in the U.K. this Block design reversible vase is an excellent addition to any table or shelf – designed to let creativity flourish and despite having a retro feel, this vase perfectly slips right in to any modern home.
Similarly being one of my current favourite products, the beautiful design of this vase has a simple yet elegant feel to it, Luke specifically was drawn to the blue vase as it creates a very chilled atmosphere in the home. Effortlessly combining a clean geometric feel with a natural element when flowers are added.
For Lukes next product he chose the House Doctor Candle Stand Move for 6 candles in Brass, designed to create a cosy atmosphere – this candle stand is the perfect centrepiece for holiday table decor. Luke loves this product due to its flexible nature, meaning it can take on many shapes and be adjusted depending on the table size. This combined with the sleek minimal design of the product makes it perfect for all occasions, especially with Christmas fast approaching!
In true Fig 1 style, Luke couldn’t just finish on three beautiful products. For his final product, Luke decided on a more classic Danish style.
The Bloomingville floor lamp with integrated table. Made from brown Ash, this table has a slightly fifties, retro feel to it and Luke describes it as the perfect size for your tea or a good book. This beautiful, sleek design is an absolute must have for those cosy nights in.
