Our new showcase shop at Quaker Friars has meant not only expanding our product range but has also been a great opportunity to take on new staff. As creatives ourselves we’ve always been drawn to co-workers at different stages of their creative careers.

First up is the lovely Holly. Holly is a part time Creative Producing MA student at Bath Spa university and loves all things creative. Being a budding, creative theatre producer, Holly has a show coming up at Sparkfest and loves working with other creatives. With her own prints and jewellery shop on Etsy, Holly is a big supporter of independent business and loves to support ethical and sustainable brands.

Green Goddess: The Chive Minute Pot in Green Layers

First up on Holly’s list of favourites is the gorgeous minute pot and saucer in green from Chive. In fact, sumptuous greens are rather the theme of todays favourite things blog, with Holly loving all things green – she loves how this pint-sized pot really brightens up a room with its rustic, handmade nature. What makes this pot an even better find is the drainage saucer underneath – allowing a plant to be planted straight into it with no fuss.

Stylish Side Tables: The Earth Side Table from Bloomingville

Holly’s second choice is this beautiful Earth Side Table from Bloomingville. Following the green theme, Holly loves this sage green table with a terrazzo finish on both platforms. The muted but bright colour works perfectly as an accent colour – ideal for brightening up those corners of your home which just need a little extra sparkle!

Home fragrance with a twist with the Earthbound Candle from Meraki

The penultimate item on Holly’s list was the Earthbound Candle from Meraki. Again following the green theme, this delightful candle has a light and airy peppermint scent – it definitely lives up to the name with its earthy undertones. The minimalist design of the candle is what really drew Holly in – looking amazing on any shelf yet calming.

Why choose a pot with a saucer for your indoor plant?

When planting inside and outside, considering drainage is a must! Avoiding root rot and killing your plants can be tricky but is made much easier with built in drainage. With the Chive Minute collection, each pot has it’s own drainage with a saucer underneath, stopping root rot and allowing for drainage.
