Fig. 1 is a new business and still trying to establish a firm base of suppliers. We have tried to find a good range of quality designed products from what we consider to be ethical sources. We will try to give you information about our products to help you make up your own mind.

When looking for goods we try to look for the following

• Local and UK produced goods for lower environmental impact and UK working conditions
• Fair trade or SA8000 imported goods
• Recycled and reused products
• Small developing-world producers who are too small to be part of fair trade but who's livelihood our custom supports

• We are in the process of switching our electricity supply to Ecotricity
• 90% of our lighting is currently low energy
• We reuse supplier packaging for our own mail order
• Our carrier bags are recycled brown paper
